Austin, TX – December 15, 2015 – Today, American Innovations (AI) launched its new PCSTM Survey Viewer application, which makes it easier for cathodic protection professionals to make sure their survey records are correct and complete. It’s designed for use with AI’s AllegroTM Field Data PC and PCSTM compliance management software. These two products, along with AI’s other solutions, are used to achieve compliance for more than 90 percent of the regulated transmission pipeline in North America.
With Survey Viewer, cathodic protection technicians, contractors, and managers can use a full PC display and keyboard to view periodic survey files used with an Allegro field computer – even without an internet connection or a full PCS license. This makes it easy for them to analyze the data for correctness and completeness before leaving the survey site, submitting it for review or committing it to a PCS database. The results:
- PCS databases contain fewer cathodic protection data errors
- PCS users:
- Have more confidence that their cathodic protection data is correct, complete and compliant with applicable regulations
- Spend less time correcting errors or revisiting survey sites to take new readings
“We want to provide our PCS customers with tools that are easy to use, that enable them to work more efficiently, and that gives them confidence in the traceability, verifiability, and completeness of their data,” said Andrew Holle, PCS Product Manager at American Innovations. “Survey Viewer fulfills all of these goals. We’re excited to release it and we look forward to offering PCS customers additional products and enhancements that will continue to make PCS the compliance management software of choice in the oil and gas industry.”
