American Innovations’ Field Data Division Names Michael Germain Director of Customer Service
Austin, TX – July 7th, 2008: American Innovations’ Field Data Division (FDD), leading provider of products and services for pipeline industries, announced the addition of Michael Germain as Director of Customer Service. Michael will manage technical service engineers, technical writing and return processing as well as direct resolution of all customer issues. He is responsible for completing the implementation of FDD’s Customer Satisfaction Index and the use of that measure to continually improve quality and satisfaction.
Previously, Germain worked as a Global Commodity Manager and Operations Manager at Dell’s Round Rock, TX headquarters. As Global Commodity Manager, Germain was responsible for tracking and monitoring new technology development, supporting supplier integration and developing strategies to improve continuity of supply and secure industry best costs. He led a management team realignment resulting in decreased prices of 60% and increased sales of 320% and negotiated supplier agreements and cost reductions across a multitude of components. In addition, he has worked as a Project Manager at Applied Materials and Operations/Logistics Manager at Wolfe Engineering. He has four years of leadership and management experience as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, an MBA from University of Texas at Austin and a BA in History from Texas A & M.
