American Innovations Announces Release of Allegro MX Field PC™

Austin, TX – April 27, 2009: American Innovations is now offering the newest version of its Allegro Field Data PC - Allegro MX. The MX operates on Microsoft® Windows Mobile® version 6.1 (including Microsoft Office®, Outlook® and Explorer® suite), and features multiple enhancements, including integrated Bluetooth® Wireless technology, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, a 624MHz processor and an increased number of expansion pods.
 

Allegro is an expandable and versatile field computer that was created specifically to meet the demands of the oil and gas pipeline industry. Utilized by pipeline industry leaders to capture required, critical pipeline and facility data, Allegro units typically pay for themselves in less than a year by saving data collection and transcription time and eliminating errors associated with manual data entry. It is an intuitive device, suitable for all levels of corrosion expertise.

Allegro has a fully functional volt meter, which is ideal for periodic and close interval surveys, and features GPS data collection and GIS data verification. The Allegro MX has the ability to run external applications, thereby eliminating the need for technicians to carry multiple inspection tools during surveys.  Additionally, it features a full keyboard for easy data entry in the field, and works with standard and GPS synchronized current interrupters.
 

The device is 100% compatible with AI’s Pipeline Compliance System (PCS) Versions 6 and 7 as well as other CP data management systems.  PCS is a scale-able, integrated application for capturing, managing and analyzing inspection, maintenance, compliance and operational data for natural gas, hazardous liquids and other underground pipeline systems.  Allegro data feeds directly into PCS so that reports necessary to meet regulatory requirements can be generated quickly and easily.
